Plan a School Supply Drive

Donating school supplies is a great way to support your local schools and community centers.

Schools are often in need of school supplies; however, they may also need other household items to give to families like sanitary or hygiene items. Set a budget and goals for your school supply donation. Once you have this information, you may want to reach out to your local school and ask them their needs before purchasing items. You can let them know your budget and what you plan on contributing. On the other hand, you may decide to give the school monetary donations so they can purchase the items on their own.

Whatever you choose to do, a donation of any amount helps to support your local school or community centers. They provide valuable resources to our communities and help our children learn.

TIPS:

• If you plan on purchasing supplies, reach out to the school you plan to donate to before purchasing supplies. By reaching out first, you can make sure you make the biggest impact for your donation and get the right supplies.
• For businesses or those planning to host an event in honor of National Day of Love®, remember to get all events approved by National Day of Love® here before starting any work on your project. If you are not coordinating an event but donating the supplies yourself directly to the school (e.g. not fundraising), you do not need to register.
