National Day of Love® is a great time to thank teachers for all the hard work they do. National Day of Love is celebrated on the third Saturday in March. You can also celebrate the day before when schools are open and take gifts to your neighborhood school.
If you are a business, you may already have a local school that you partner with for community events. If you’re not already doing this, it’s something to consider if it fits with your goals and resources. Partnering with a local school is a great way to get to know your community and support education. Schools look for partnerships with local businesses to help them with school supplies, giveaways, and fairs. Your business presence in your community can improve by partnering with a school and supporting their mission to educate children. On the other hand, it’s important to consider if a partnership with a school aligns with your values, goals, and mission for your organization.
There are many ways to thank your educational partner. You can provide books for the library, supplies for their classroom, gift cards, thank you notes, or other fun ideas.
Schools often have contests or appreciation nights where they can give out donated gift cards or items for their teachers. You may have older items in inventory that would make great gifts for the school.
Consider reaching out to other businesses in your area and making it an official National Day of Love® event. Before creating an event, check out the tips and information below. If you are not creating an event, you do not need to register to celebrate National Day of Love®. Let us know how your celebration went here.

Teachers are a vital part of our communities. Let’s thank them for their hard work!
TIPS:
- Work with your local school’s teachers or the school you partner with to find out their needs or wants for their classroom. Usually, teachers have an idea of what they would like to receive so this can save you some time in brainstorming.
