Celebrate Your Teachers

National Day of Love® is a great time to thank your teachers for all the hard work that they do. National Day of Love is celebrated on the third Saturday in March. You can also celebrate the day before when schools are open and take your child or loved one’s teacher a surprise gift.

There are many ways to thank your or your child’s teacher. You can buy them a book, a present, supplies for their classroom, make them a thank you note, gift card, or any other fun ideas.

Ask the teacher what things she likes or special needs she has for her classroom. Many teachers have a wish list or list of favorite things that you can use to buy or make something. Gifts that you make can be a special treat for your teacher. You can choose to make something that you do for a hobby like sewing, drawing, music, or other talents that you may have. This will create a long legacy for your teacher.

Teachers are a vital part of our communities. Let’s thank them for their hard work!

TIPS:

  • Work with your school’s teachers directly to find out their needs or wants for their classroom before purchasing any items. Usually, teachers have an idea of what they would like to receive so this can save you some time in brainstorming.
  • If you are wanting to make your gift part of an event to celebrate your teachers, you’ll want to check out the disclaimer below. Alternatively, you can have individuals donate directly to the school on their own and avoid creating an event. This avoids the registration requirement.
  • Registering your event may help you avoid potential copyright infringement. Also, your registration helps protect the vision and goals of National Day of Love®.
